Award-winning pianist Mayuko Katakura, who has been active in the front line of jazz scene in Japan, joins the festival this year with her own trio band and a Dutch saxophonist Benjamin Herman from New Cool Collective as a special guest.

After his illustrious years as a singer-songwriter, Senri Oe has been active as a jazz pianist based in New York. Through music, he has been helping to deliver courage and hopes to people in earthquake-stricken areas in the project “Music for Tomorrow” after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. This time in Tokyo Jazz Festival, he delivers with his friends the music for tomorrow.

Australian pianist Paul Grabowsky’s performance embraces traditions, innovations, and freedom. Following his enthralling performance last year, he returns with his quartet this time to fill “the CLUB” with beautiful mellow sounds.
