Since its start in 2002, TOKYO JAZZ FESTIVAL has grown into a unique urban music festival known for its international flair and high musical standards.
This year, the 16th TOKYO JAZZ FESTIVAL relocates to Tokyo's cultural hot spot Shibuya to begin a new chapter with the aim to become a "town-wide" event.
In addition to the established hall concert, performances in public spaces like tree-lined streets, parks, and the station will offer more accessibility and the chance for people of all ages to discover and enjoy jazz.
As an endeavor to promote Japan's music culture, we will continue showcasing big names as well as up-and-coming talent from around the world. We hope visitors have a ball at this year's TOKYO JAZZ, and that the festival can serve as a cultural lead-in to the 2020 Olympic games.
